Ryanair expands to Azores: 3 new routes to Ponta Delgada!
Great news today!
Ryanair launched sale of first tickets to their newest destination: Ponta Delgada in Azores!
The beautiful islands of Azores are part of Portugal and similar to Madeira they offer incredible nature with virtually no tourists.
Ryanair will fly to Azores from 3 airports: Porto, Lisbon and London Stansted.
The first tickets are already bookable through the company’s website and sell for €28.99 per one way which is a great price!
The service will start operating from April 2015.
Getting to Azores has always been quite expensive as there is not much competition on this route but this will most likely change with Ryanair’s new flights in place.
The company will base 1 airplane in Ponta Delgada which will be serving all 3 new routes.
Ryanair is already in negotiation with government of Azores about opening another routes to the other island, Terceira.
Let’s hope for more good news like this in the future!
