Ryanair returns to Prague airport!
Today’s good news for all trevelers from the Czech Republic.
Ryanair just announced they will return to Prague airport! The CEO of the company Michael O Leary announced they will launch new route between Prague and Dublin!
Ryanair used to operated from Prague already but left the airport completely couple of years ago because of its high fees. Passengers were able to book tickets from Prague to London, Dublin, Birmingham, Milan and Frankfurt-Hahn.
The new route between Prague and Dublin will open in April 2014 and is aimed as a direct competition to Aer Lingus. This company already flies on the same route but the best prices for return flights start at approx €120, while Ryanair will certainly bring much lower fares to Prague.
Prague – Dublin will be operated 10 times per week, which means daily flights and sometimes even 2 flights per day.
This decision is part of newly announced expansion from Dublin to 9 other airports: Almeria, Bari, Basel, Bucharest, Chania, Comiso, Lisbon, Marrakesh & Prague.
Ryanair decided to extend their coverage from Dublin after the Irish government cancelled €3 air travel tax which has to be paid for every passenger. They hope to bring additional 700,000 passengers per year to Dublin.
Hopefuly this is beginning of comeback of Ryanair to Vaclav Havel airport in Prague and another destinations will be added soon.
