WOW! Ryanair opens new base in Berlin, 16 new routes!
Wow that’s some really good news!
Ryanair today announced it will open its 73rd base in Berlin Schoenefeld!
The company plans to base 5 airplanes in Berlin and create 16 new routes in addition to 6 already existing connections.
The list of new destinations available from Berlin include:
- Berlin Schoenefeld – Alicante 3 weekly
- Berlin Schoenefeld – Athens 1 daily
- Berlin Schoenefeld – Barcelona 1 daily
- Berlin Schoenefeld – Bari 3 weekly
- Berlin Schoenefeld – Bologna 1 daily
- Berlin Schoenefeld – Bratislava 1 daily
- Berlin Schoenefeld – Brussels 3 daily
- Berlin Schoenefeld – Glasgow 4 weekly
- Berlin Schoenefeld – Madrid 2 daily
- Berlin Schoenefeld – Malaga 2 weekly
- Berlin Schoenefeld – Palermo 2 weekly
- Berlin Schoenefeld – Palma Mallorca 3 weekly
- Berlin Schoenefeld – Riga 1 daily
- Berlin Schoenefeld – Rome Ciampino 2 daily
- Berlin Schoenefeld – Valencia 3 weekly
- Berlin Schoenefeld – Venice 3 weekly
This means that Ryanair will serve total of 22 routes from Berlin, hoping to transfer 2.6 million customers per year.
The famous low-cost airline will also increase the frequency of existing flights from Berlin to Dublin (from 7 to 9 flights per week), to London (from 2 to 4 per day) and to Milan Bergamo (from 1 to 2 per day).
The base will open on 27th October 2015.
The company celebrates the launch of its new Berlin base, as well as its 30th birthday with 100,000 discounted tickets available for €19.99 across its whole network for travel in March and April.
That’s definitely good news for all fans of low-cost traveling and major increase in competition on the German market!
